Idyllically located on a little known, almost hidden beach in Prachuap Kiri Khan province in Thailand lies the most romantic and peaceful resort in the greater Hua Hin area and possibly the whole of Thailand: the Rachavadee Resort Bang Krut. 
The Rachavadee resort on Ban Krud beach has long been one of the best kept secrets between foreign residents living in cities like Bangkok, Cha-am and Hua Hin and handful of Thai nationals. Through this new website we hope that more people will get the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful little beach resort located on one of the longest and most quiet beaches on the Gulf of Thailand.
Because of the Rachavadee Resort's sheer beauty and paradise like scenery it's regularly a top pick for the most romantic & intimate weddings in Thailand, where loving couples want to tie the knot in style and take the type of wedding pictures that all of their friend will be jealous of. Despite this status, the Rachavadee resort in Ban Krud has managed to remain the cozy small couples and family resort is has always been, with just a limited number of well designed and tastefully decorated bungalows available for our much appreciated hotel guests. The Beach Lover's Sea View bungalows on the Bangkrud beach and the small number of private garden bungalows on the back of the beach resort are the most popular with romantic couples and occasionally with new parents, while the two level bungalows that stand next to the Rachavadee Swimming pool are the perfect location for families with children and / or groups that like to spend a little less on accommodations and more on the wonderful food that is served in the Rachavadee's huge restaurant.
During the first few days of their stay, nearly all of our guests choose to enjoy the sun & sea and work on their tans lying on a large beach towel right on the 12 km long beach, while others prefer to do the same on one of the many sun beds that are available on the pristine Ban Krood beach, as well as next to our refreshing two level swimming pool. However, once a guest manages to fully relax and forget about all the stress and headaches from back home, we usually find them "finally making it through" the book they have been meaning to read for years, gently rocking back and forth in a hammock between the many coconut trees on the beach or sipping on a cool drink or cocktail in the huge beach chairs in front of the beach bungalows. Despite the fact that we offer free high speed WiFi in the restaurant / swimming pool area between 09:00 and 21:00, most people don't really seem to care much about it by then.
Room Rates in the Rachavadee Beach Resort Bankrut start at only 1600 baht per room per night (which was the equivalent €35 / US$45 / AUS$70 / SEK 370 / 260 DKK in Jan 2009) for a wonderful Garden bungalow with: a large half open bathroom with solar cell powered hot shower, modern western toilet, ample hanging space to dry many swimsuits, towels and other clothes, a sink with large mirror (standard toiletries are provides on a daily basis), next to a very cozy, yet spacious and tastefully decorated bedroom with remote controlled Air Conditioning, a small refrigerator / mini bar with very reasonable prices, a standard Hotel TV with both domestic and international channels on it, 2 night stands with a reading lamp, a large and soft double bed and an open closet place to hang or fold the few clothes you will need in a tropical beach resort in Thailand. In front of the bungalow's doors that can be folded away to offer a truly panoramic view of the ban krut beach and Gulf of Thailand and there are two or more very large beach chairs and a small coffee / cocktail table.
Those cocktails are quite reasonably priced, as almost everything is in the Ban Saphan area, and available at the Rachavadee Bar, which is conveniently located next to Rachavadee swimming pool area. From this cocktail and ice-coffee bar we can easily serve both the guest that prefer to have their cocktail in the sun, as well as those that can't get away from the magnificent sea view in front of their private beach or garden bungalow. As the swimming pool itself is most frequently used by the smaller guests, we have made a shallow part to cool the youngest of our hotel's visitors, which is separated from the deeper area by a plateau that has proven to be the ideal location for small children to safely play with their toys or for confident adults to lie in the sun without getting overheated immediately.
People that are unable to follow the same daily routine of: swim in the Sea, lay out on the Ban Krut beach, swim in the swimming pool, sit on or in a beach chair etc. (not mentioning the wonderful food and drinks that intersect with these activities) we highly recommend renting some of our bicycles and start exploring the beach in both directions, from the fisherman villages in Ban Saphan Noi to the very impressive and notoriously famous Buddhist temple Wat Tan Sai in the North. Making it up to the temple area itself is not for the weak of heart (or legs) though.. the Ban Kroot sea is also famed to have the best, unspoiled scuba diving and snorkeling spots in the entire gulf of Thailand. Other forms of entertainment include trips to the nearby island of Koh Talu, visiting several
other nice temples in the area, go (squid) fishing or taking an exciting ATV ride.
As you can see, we are currently building this new web site for our Rachavadee Beach Bungalow Resort in Bang Krut, but because this tropical paradise is currently completely operational (and has been for a few years) we decided that you deserve a preview of all the natural beauty that is available on beaches south of the so much less clean and crowded beaches of Cha-am, Hua Hin and even an island like Koh Tao or Koh Phangan. From Hua Hin you can reach the Ban Krut train station in one and a half hours by a very relaxing train ride in the late morning. Don't forget to contact us first if you do, to prevent unnecessary waiting at the empty train station. Most Hua Hin or Cha-am based taxi's will manage to do the entire distance between Cha-am / Hua Hin and Bang Krood beach in little over an hour, while the ones from Bangkok will take +/- 5 hours to reach us. Bangsaphan also makes an excelent stopover point for people that are underway to destinations like Koh Tao, Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, Krabi, Koh Lanta and Phuket.
